looking for those dancehall riddims from the 90's (super cat, shabba, buju banton, junior reid..on and on) that bass!
I know reggae bassists traditionally use a fender jazz or something in that neighborhood. They also filter the shi-- out of it. They play close to the neck. They use flat strings and finger pluck (or thumb) BUT what's up with the 'digital' riddims ---dudes like Jammy and Bobby Digital (not to be confused with the Rza)..etc
what are they doing to get that BOOM BOOM BOOM BA BA BA BOOM BOOM...lol If it was up to me I'd just have woofers riding that shi-- all day, no highs no mids. lol
